Happy 2016 y’all! What a year 2015 has been. I haven’t even finished writing about 2015 and BAM, its gone, and 2016 is here! Crazy.

Happy New Year from us!

Happy New Year from us!

I haven’t given up completely on this blog despite the lack of consistent update. The last few months have been crazy. I dipped my toes into Assistant Directing, and pretty much got pushed into the deep end. I’m happy to say, I didn’t drown. It was scary, full of cringe worthy moments, shoutings and even times I thought I wanted to just give up. I had 3 jobs back to back, and little to no time for proper training. Crazy, I tell ya. But I got into the groove of it, and I think this is what I want to do for awhile. I had a lot of fun in the end, and every job was different from the next.

The day I decided I wanted to freelance, I felt a bit nervous. Full time freelancing means the security of monthly salaries, and company benefits are all gone, and you’re pretty much relying on yourself to get the next few jobs. I know it ain’t gonna be easy, but I’m optimistic. But very nervous. In the mean time, in between jobs, ie my down time, I’ll continue blogging and writing.

I know I haven’t given my blog much love. That’s all about to change. I’ve set myself a blogging schedule! Updates are now going to be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays! And I’ve also set aside a bunch of things I want to blog about, aside from what I’ve done so far – which is just travels and getting married (which yes, I haven’t finished lol). Some of these includes monthly favourites (from cosmetics to video games!), fashion and outfits, the occasional food post, and of course, more photos of Quinto the cute iguana.

One of my new years resolution is to watch more local films. So every month, I will do at least 1 review of a local film out in the cinema. First on my list of local films in 2016: Ola Bola! Keep a look out for that review.

I’m excited to keep larxy.com going, and I’m honestly hoping it’ll get more love. Aspiring professional blogger, assistant director, content creator and writer here. 2016 is going to be really scary. Here goes!
